Burning the Reichstag from the previous poster is a great idea. Also check out the "night of the long knives". This was Hitlers liquidation of Ernst Roehm and the Brownshirts, his own previous private army that helped him to power in the early days. It was a taste of things to come and a nail in the coffin of everything that could be considered German pre Nazi.
